What is Wired Power Share?
Here's how it typically works on Samsung devices that support this feature:
Physical Connection: You connect the two Samsung devices using a USB-C to
USB-C cable.
Notification or Prompt: Once the connection is established, one or both
devices might display a notification or a prompt asking what you'd like to do
with the USB connection. This could include options like transferring files,
using the phone as a USB drive, or charging the connected device.
Selecting the Charging Option: You would then select an option that
indicates you want to charge the other connected device. The exact wording
might vary depending on the software version and device model, but it will be
clear that you're initiating power transfer to the other device.
Initiation of Charging: Once you select the charging option, the designated
power-sharing device will begin to output power to the other device. You might
see a charging indicator on the receiving device.
Potential for Role Switching (on some models): In some more advanced
implementations, the devices might even negotiate which one should provide
power based on battery levels or user preference. The initial charging
direction might be reversible through a software option.
